Nampo Cape 2019 “Winds of Prosperity”

Nampo Cape 2019

Following the success of the first Nampo Cape in 2018, the Cape’s farming sector and partners will once again descend on Bredasdorp Park on 4-6 September 2019. This trade show allows producers to connect with others involved in the agriculture sector.

Under the 2019 theme, “Winds of Prosperity” the organizers are eager to share the following about this event.
Some 200 outside and 270 exhibitors in the undercover halls (inclusive of livestock) are booked for this year’s event. Visitors can also look forward to a much larger Nedbank flower exhibition where a larger than before, diversity of plants can be viewed.

Another first at NAMPO Cape will be the popular Boerepatente en Boereplanne where farmers can showcase their Innovative solutions to agricultural challenges.

The Media24 ladies’ programme promises to be another hit this year. Kevin Leo, well known performing artist, singer, entertainer, foodie and chef (sponsored by Afgri), will share his passions and Herman Lensing, food editor of the popular women’s magazine Sarie will share some of his food secrets.

The popular Nation in Conversation will once again address current issues with panel discussions on crucial topics in agriculture such as, the future of agriculture in the Cape, transformation successes, cash crops, security in rural areas as well as issues in the wine and fruit industries.

4×4 Enthusiasts can look forward to daily demonstrations by the respective vehicle exhibitors at the new and improved Engen 4×4 track. These will be staged under supervision daily between 10:00 and 14:00.

With a view to a much larger NAMPO Cape in 2019, provision has been made for more parking facilities as well as additional entrance gates to ensure ease of access to visitors and shorten the walking distance to the expo site. More food stands will ensure no visitor will have to walk long distances to subdue the hunger pains and thirst.

A new addition to the Park this year is the FNB tent where breakfast sessions, lectures, presentations and other activities will be presented.

A packed and interesting livestock programme will be presented daily in the Voermol ring. The Agri Expo youth show, Alpha Small Stock and Inter breed show and equine events as well as the Overberg Jersey show will form part of this programme. Visitors can also look forward to various horse shows and a mounted archery demonstration in the main arena.
